Ahh, changes... Nancy has a sweet bebe and Silke is staying in Minneapolis. Since the Lyndale Church building was sold, Grasshopper Yoga Studio has closed - but Nancy and Silke are still holding classes, workshops and retreats around Minneapolis and the World...see below.

WELL BEGUN IS HALF DONE!
The New Year's Day class is the perfect chance to practice and embody the Vedic principle "Well begun is half done;" i.e. when you begin something well, half of your work is already done. Life responds and flows according to the impulse of our intention. This two and a half hour class will include asana (posture sequence), pranayama (breathwork), chanting, and a longer guided relaxation

Vitality and Grace Practice
An incredible way to start your weekend. Based in the science of Hatha Yoga, the class will include techniques to strengthen physical alignment, to balance and tone the nervous system, and to awaken deeper awareness of the subtle, energetic body. The focus will be on harmonizing action, breath, and awareness to enliven all aspects of our being. Class structure includes a gentle warm-up, sun salutation & stronger standing work, proceeded by deeper floor work. The morning may likely include chanting, pranayama, and/or meditation.
The class level is continuing beginner to intermediate; familiarity with basic or foundation poses is recommended. Please feel free to contact Silke with any questions.

Sadhana Special
Designed at the request of students, this two hour allows us to more fully explore the range of yoga practices. The first 1 1/4 hours will be our asana (posture) practice, followed by 45 mins. dedicated to pranayama (regulated breathwork), chanting &/or meditation, and discussion/questions. This is an extraordinary opportunity to learn how to build a complete practice and to participate in mini-workshop setting each week.
For those who cannot attend the full two hours, you are welcome to come to the asana portion of practice.

Mindful Yoga Weekly Drop-In Practice
Mindful Yoga is the practice of extending awareness into the physical experience of hatha yoga. This series is open to adults of all ages, including those with little or no background in yoga. This class will introduce a basic sequence of yoga poses, emphasizing mindfulness of breathing and sensation.

Yoga Nidra Workshops
Yoga Nidra is the state where the mind and body are awake and alert but relaxed to the level of deep sleep. These workshops include instruction and explanation of Yoga Nidra, a short practice of yoga poses, then 45 minutes of lying on the floor and being guided into deep relaxation and Yoga Nidra. Please bring 3 blankets and a yoga mat.

Yoga Asana Workshops
